Why should your child practise yoga?
- I believe if we teach yoga to children from a young age it will imprint itself into their everyday life, by teaching a child yoga you are not only teaching them to look after themselves physically but also mentally. YogaKats teaches children how to respect their bodies, be kind and respectful to others, to listen and enjoy learning, to control their tempers and live life in a truthful way – is that not what society needs this next generation to be? If Yoga was to be taught in every school I think we can all look forward to a better future.
What to expect in a YogaKats class
- The class will last for approx 35 minutes. The class starts always with a brief talk on safety and philosophy of yoga. We would warm up with a song and Salute to the sun sequence. Each lesson will include an exciting adventure for the children to really open their minds and be free. Special breathing techniques are taught in order to free mental and creative energy, improve the child’s self confidence, self awareness and lung capacity. We would end the class with some fun games before a yummy relaxation helping them to withdraw from the external environment thus reduces the stress of daily life, materialistic extravagances and still a turbulent mind.
So the question really should be – why wouldn’t you want your child to do yoga?

Yoga Kats 2 1/2 years – 7 years. Class is held on Wednesdays 4-4.40pm & Saturdays 9.10-9.50am and is without parents.
Yoga Kittens crawling babies - toddlers and is with parents. Classes TBC.
Mummy & Baby Yoga is from six weeks onwards. Come and enjoy this lovely nurturing postnatal yoga class. The class is split between teaching mum how to use baby yoga to soothe and calm baby, and how to manage aliments such as colic and digestion issues. The course lasts for six weeks and in that time we will focus on a new mum’s recovery using yoga to help heal the pelvic floor, release tension as well as gently toning the body. The class is very interactive, fun and a great way to make new friends.
Classes held on Tuesdays.
Yoga Kats: £40.00 for a six week course.
Mummy/Baby Yoga: £66.00 for a six week course.
Although places may be reserved for this course, places are not confirmed until payment is received in full and this is due no later than 2 weeks prior to commencement of this course.
We have a 1 week cancellation policy for all courses so cancellations made within less than 1 week, will result in you losing your course fee unless we are able to fill this space.Unfortunately we are not able to take card payments for this course.
