Pregnancy Yoga

Our pregnancy yoga classes are very interactive and encourage bonds between mothers to be from all walks of life. You will leave your pregnancy yoga class having gained the tools you need to help you have the birth you want, your way.

Here at Bababoom we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have two fantastic Yoga Teachers, Kat King & Amie Bird.  Although the principles of Pregnancy Yoga are generally very similar, there are a number of different disciplines. Kat & Amy both practice Hatha Yoga and Pranayama breathing along with the different Pregnancy Yoga influences.

As yoga increases your range of movement, the postures become fluid and enjoyable. You achieve a new grace, elegance and dignity. These movements help your back and creates space for your baby. Learning about your posture and changes within your body.

Your breath eases as you breathe for two, learning how to lengthen the exhalation. Mother’s breath is baby’s oxygen. This is a very important in your journey.

You tone and release your pelvic floor muscles to create the birthing passage.

Preparing yourself mentally with visualisations and teaching you to be present, along with relaxation techniques. 

It is through Asana (posture) and Pranayama (breath work) – that we learn to listen to ourselves and we start the process of undoing. Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, consists of simple yogic techniques that can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter his or her age or physical ability. It is a complete science that includes breath (pranayama), yoga postures (asanas), sound, chanting (mantra) and meditation. It is designed to provide you with the experience of your highest consciousness through the raising of your Kundalini.

Yoga is a unique therapy where we have the opportunity to listen and communicate with the self and most of all we learn to be honest (Satya) and non harming (Ahimsa).

We run our courses several times a week. Courses are booked in blocks of 6 weeks for £66.
